Transfers keep your existing registration period and add a year in most cases. Your website and email keep working throughout if DNS is left unchanged.
Before you start
- The domain must be at least 60 days old.
- It must not have been transferred in the last 60 days.
- Domain lock must be disabled at your current registrar.
- You need the authorisation (EPP) code from your current registrar.
Starting the transfer
- 1Open a ticket with the domain name and your auth code, or use the transfer option at checkout.
- 2Approve the confirmation email sent to the registrant address on the domain.
- 3Transfers typically complete within five to seven days.
